Centering People and Our Environment: A Sustainable Right to Energy and Economic Justice

September 24 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Climate change is forcing us to rethink not only how we invest, but why.

This conversation reframes climate transition as a question of purpose, power, and place. What is the purpose of public infrastructure and public investment? Who are public resources designed to serve? And what outcomes are they meant to produce?

Join the Institute on Race, Power, and Political Economy at The New School and the McKnight Foundation to explore how investments in infrastructure and energy can strengthen communities, expand economic agency, and protect the environment.

Bringing together leaders from climate, labor, philanthropy, and public policy, the program will examine how public investment decisions shape democratic governance and the future of people and places.
